It was just a three-line ad in the personals section, but it launched the adventure of a lifetime.

So begins Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit, which I recently read at a friend’s suggestion. She told me the book changed her life. To be honest, I didn’t know what to make of that statement. I did not know what to make of the book either, and originally started reading it well over a month ago, but due to many factors, did not really start in again until last week. I polished it off in less than a week, despite having to deal with legal hassles, work, and my GCFW test.
Here’s a short summary: everyone should read this book. Make time to read it. Set aside just a few minutes for a few days and I guarantee it will suck you in.?
Now that you know what I think of it, I’ll attempt to briefly summarize it. A telepathic gorilla holds the key to mankind’s salvation.
Okay, maybe that didn’t come out right.
We have the whole story of Cain and Abel backwards, and that’s what’s wrong with society today.

The problem is we take too much and leave too little, if anything.
