How to Use Email, Part 3: Capitalization, Punctuation, and Spelling

Continuing on the “do’s and don’ts” of email, here’s this week’s batch of hints!
Don’t keep the CAPS LOCK key engaged. IF YOU TYPE IN ALL CAPS IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING ALL THE TIME. Thankfully most people seem to have figured this out in recent years.
If you are a poor speller, please use spell check. If you send an email that is full of spelling errors, you look dumb. Sorry, but that’s the truth.
as with any other form of writing, use proper punctuation and capitalization this is what lets people follow your thoughts and when to stop to take a breath can you imagine how jumbled things would be if you did not use punctuation it would be really hard to parse your messages just because you are using email and not writing on paper is no excuse to be lazy so remember use proper punctuation
